Nov 2021: The most recent story on Downtown New Port Richey‘s historic Hacienda Hotel dating back to 1927 getting resurrected by hotelier Jim Gunderson, who also brought the Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora successfully back to life. Target date for re-opening is early 2022 but the Hacienda’s new official website is now live:

Nov 2021–The Judi Pobst Team came to Downtown New Port Richey to feature Lis’s Pieces Artisan Boutique for their Business Spotlight feature.

Sep 2021: Meet John Beebe, one of the co-owners (the other being his wife, Connie) of Heros Downtown Subs & Salads shop. Learn how SmartStart, a Pasco EDC program, also helped John and Connie be successful from the get-go, in addition to being a vital part of the Downtown NPR community.

Aug 2021: WFLA Daytime TV Danny New visits Downtown NPR again to see what owner Joe Nordon can cook up for him at Boulevard Beef & Ale. Danny also makes stops at Fitzgerald’s Irish Tavern for some Irish Nachos and and then he finishes the trip off to a quick stop for a sweet treat at the Main Street Bakery.

July 2021: WFLA Daytime TV’s Maggie Rodriquez makes a return trip to downtown and visits many shops at Stonehaven, including The Doggie Salon groomers, Main Street Bakey, the Butcher’s Block butcher shop and deli and talks about the growth of Downtown NPR with Dented Keg Ale Works owner, Rick Sommers, and B Elegance Boutique owner, Berlin Love.

May 2021: WFLA Daytime TV’s Maggie Rodriquez chats with New Port Richey resident and urban farming expert Jim Kovaleski discusses the great features and benefits to urban farming right in Downtown NPR and how the City of New Port Richey makes it easy to incorporate farming in a residential yard.

Dec 2020: WFLA Daytime TV’s Maggie Rodriquez spoke with Jeff Wright, owner of Wright’s Natural Market at ADAPT Freshness in downtown to see what the rage is about the movement to go local and organic with urban agriculture. Owner Mike Forte also taps into the importance of local businesses supporting local farmers, growers and fellow businesses and the appeal of acai bowls.

Dec 2020: Danny New from WFLA Daytime TV spoke with Lisa Langford, owner of Lis’s Pieces Artisan Boutique and Kelly Hackman, owner of The White Heron Tea Room & Gifts, just two of the many downtown New Port Richey businesses that were winner of 2020 Tampa Bay Times’s Best of the Best awards.
