Downtown Parking and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Did you know that there are over 750 parking spots available in downtown New Port Richey, including over 25 handicap spots and 8 electric vehicle charging stations?

The City has opened a parking garage at the corner of Main Street and U.S. Highway 19, adjacent to the Keiser University. Additionally, the improvements on the Gloria Swanson Parking Lot added 104 parking spots to the community, including handicap spots and electric vehicle charging stations, and the Thomas Meighan Parking Lot was also enhanced to create more spots for downtown.

All of New Port Richey public parking (including downtown street parking) are FREE.

1. New Port Richey Parking Structure

Coming soon in early 2022: There will be an electric vehicle shuttle that will transport people to and from the Structure with different stops in downtown so that patrons can enjoy shopping, dining, drinks, crafting, professional services, before and after the Dr. Frederick Grassin (Main Street) Bridge. And don’t let our historic bridge fool you: New Port Richey’s Main Street has it all on both sides of our beloved Cotee River!

The new Parking Structure on the corner of US Highway 19 and Main Street behind the new Keiser University will have new hours.

Effective immediately, this garage will be OPEN DAILY from 7:30 a.m. to midnight in hopes for better convenience for Keiser students, and everyone visiting Downtown during peak times where parking will be more available.

A shuttle system will be running soon in early 2022. We will post hours of the shuttle when they are determined and finalized.
