Thanks to the readers and patrons who voted in the Tampa Bay Times People’s Choice Award we had over 30 business leaders, some with wins in multiple categories recognized for their excellent service.

Thank you to the Press who attended and to the Local Business owners who were recognized at the event.

The People’s Choice Tampa Bay Times “Best of The Best” honored local businesses in New Port Richey! We took the time to celebrate with them.

On August 30, 2022, the Mayor, City Council, City Manager, and Economic Development Director hosted and event to honor and recognize the community members who the readers of the Tampa Bay Times voted as the “Best of the Best” in the Tampa Bay Region.

The sense of community and goodwill toward the business community was a wonderful experience. Small, locally owned, small business owners included their families, their dogs, and their friends to the event. The event was joyful and filled with applause and gratitude for another successful business year in New Port Richey.

It was a pleasure to celebrate with the business community. Pasco County’s Economic Development team was in attendance as well as Main Street. Press Photos were taken and WFLA Channel 8 had an opportunity to meet with Morton Plant North Bay Hospital President Brandon May, whose Emergency Team won Gold, and John Gillis, President of Friendly Kia, who recently expanded his business operations in New Port Richey. The history of giving back to the community for many years is appreciated by the City of New Port Richey. You can watch the interview and footage of the event on WFLA Channel 8, Daytime Show at 10:00 a.m., September 8th.

The following three days the 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit will be in Sims Park and we hope you will stop by for this historic event. Thanks to our 9/11 committee for over 21 years of hosting the Remembrance Ceremony in Sims Park. This year on September 11, 2022 it will be held at 2 p.m.
