The City of New Port Richey will hold a special event to recognize many of the local winners of Tampa Bay Times Annual Best of the Best People’s Choice Awards. The event will be held on August 30, 6 p.m. at Sims Park in New Port Richey.
With more than 135,000 votes from readers, New Port Richey has the distinction to have over 30 businesses on the list with other winners from the whole Tampa Bay area.
“It’s so exciting to have these local and unique businesses on the list,” said City of New Port Richey Economic Development Director Barbara Carr.
“Our small, independent businesses have worked hard since day one and persevered through many challenges so they can be recognized by loyal and visiting customers,” Carr continued. “They help keep our city vibrant with bringing in more people for our city. When the small businesses thrive, the City of New Port Richey thrives.”
Each business on the Best of the Best list will receive a certificate from the City of New Port Richey commemorating their award announcement at the August 30 event with Mayor Rob Marlowe, City Manager Debbie Manns, and members of City Council expected in attendance.
